It is open to anyone interested in evidence synthesis and evidence-based practice\, specificially designed for psychiatrists\, psychologists\, mental health professionals\, mental health pharmacists\, and neuroscientists. DESCRIPTION:Course Description: \nThis course was previously known as  ‘Research the Basics’ but evaluation feedback consistently told us that it wasn’t really basic. Updated material includes a whole new look package of essentials for anyone looking for a complete overview of NHS R&D management. \nThis is a two day course. The first day covers the overall research landscape and the legislation and regulations that govern it\, as well as the various aspects of research management and governance. Day two concentrates more on the design\, development and management of a research project\, as well as looking at wider issues of leadership and strategy.  The course is a mixture of traditional trainer presentation with interactive activities and discussions. \nContent covers: Understanding the landscape\, policy\, regulation\, patient & public involvement\, roles of R&D\, capacity & capability\, costing\, AcoRD\, contracts\, safety\, data\, oversight\, impact and strategy. \nWho is the Course for? \nThis course is designed for any role at all levels when new to a health care R&D department. The course might also be of interest to colleagues in industry\, academia and the third sector that would like to better understand managing NHS Research or just for those who need to keep updated.

SUMMARY:OH BRC Training Programme Working with Sensitive Research Data
DESCRIPTION:Course Overview This workshop outlines some of the key principles to bear in mind when working with sensitive or restricted research; whether collected yourself or obtained from a third-party source such as a data archive. Issues of confidentiality\, informed consent\, cybersecurity and data management will be covered. The role of support services at Oxford will also be outlined and in particular the role of the Bodleian Data Librarian who will lead the session. \nThis is an OH-BRC paid for training session. After you register\, if you are no longer able to attend and do not let us know\, we will still be charged for your non-attendance on the course and your catering. \nRegister on the form online.
