SUMMARY:In Conversation at Christmas 2024 (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:Alzheimer’s Research UK invite you to join them this festive season as they look back at the big dementia research news stories of 2024. \nSpeakers:  Prof Vanessa Raymont and Head of Policy and Public Affairs at Alzheimer’s Research UK David Thomas \nThis year saw the launch of revolutionary studies that bring us closer than ever to simple blood tests to diagnose dementia. A historic breakthrough in Alzheimer’s treatment was achieved this year\, with a new drug approved for use. While it’s not yet available on the NHS\, it marks a significant step forward. And the Lancet Commission delivered crucial insights into preventing and reducing the risk of dementia this year. \nJoining ARUK to reflect back on this and more are Prof Vanessa Raymont and David Thomas. Together\, we will explore the progress that has been made this year and what it means for people affected by dementia. \nRegister to attend:Registration (eventsair.com)
