Amanda Colston, Senior Research Nurse and Team Lead at the NIHR Oxford Cognitive Health Clinical Research Facility (CRF) spoke recently with the Oxford Academic Health Partners(OAHP) about her recent success in being awarded an OAHP Research Development Award.
Partners across the OAHP are closely linked in their objective to improve education and training for the whole workforce and as part of efforts across the region to develop and enhance the research culture for nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, and Pharmacists, OAHP has established a Research Development Award Scheme.
This scheme supports clinical staff employed across the five OAHP partner organizations (Oxford Health NHS FT, Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT, Oxford Brookes University, University of Oxford and Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley) to develop their capability and capacity for research through education, practice development and training, with an emphasis on collaboration and partnership working.
Amanda plans to use the award to support her through an MSc in Clinical Research with the School of Pharmacology at Cardiff University.
