Early Career Researcher Webinar Series: Academic Clinical Fellowships

Open to early career mental health researchers across the UK, this free Early Career Researcher (ECR) webinar series will bring together experienced researchers, academics, and professionals to share insights, advice, and practical guidance on topics relevant to career development in mental health research.

The first webinar will focus on Academic Clinical Fellowships and will be delivered by Dr Thomas Hewson, Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Hewson is an alumnus of the NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow Scheme (2020–2023) and was previously Presidential Scholar for Retention and Wellbeing at the Royal College of Psychiatrists (2025–2026).
