At Oxford Health, we believe research should be accessible to everyone. We’re preparing to launch Count Me In following its pilot in 2021, a pioneering approach to make it easier for our patients and service users to hear about and take part in research.
Currently, research relies on busy clinicians to identify and approach potential participants. Count Me In changes that. Soon, if a study is relevant to you, our research team may contact you directly by email, phone, or letter to ask if you’d like to learn more.
Participation is always voluntary. You’ll never be automatically enrolled, and your privacy remains protected. This approach means more people can contribute to research, helping us develop better treatments and improve care for all.
Previous research published by a team of researchers lead by Oxford Health Clinical Research Facility (CRF: Oxford Health) Director Professor Andrea Cipriani supports this rationale for change:
